Dr. David ‘Trecy’ Watson, DMD, MPH
For Dr. Watson, every smile is a unique puzzle waiting to be solved! A lifelong problem-solver who loves connecting with people, Dr. Watson enjoys finding the right orthodontic approach for each patient and seeing the confidence that comes with a new smile.
While he primarily sees patients at Palmetto Family Orthodontics’ Verdae office, he will treat patients at all four locations. One of the parts of his job he loves most is getting to interact with patients, families, and colleagues. He adds that the “icing on the cake” is that the patients love their smiles.

Dr. Watson provides orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults, with a particular interest in Invisalign® treatment, Class II bite correction, and early interceptive orthodontics. He is also passionate about airway-focused orthodontics, working alongside his colleagues at Palmetto Family Orthodontics to consider the bigger picture when planning treatment.
As a Blue Diamond Invisalign provider, Dr. Watson combines experience with modern orthodontic technology, including digital scanning and 3D printing, to plan personalized treatment.

The Team Working With Dr. Watson
Dr. Watson believes great orthodontic care is a team effort. At Palmetto Family Orthodontics, he works alongside fellow orthodontists Dr. Caldwell, Dr. Freeman, Dr. Scott, and Dr. Simpson, all of whom share a focus on airway-focused orthodontics. He also values collaboration with other providers, including referring dentists, specialists, and myofunctional therapists. By working together and considering each patient’s individual needs, the care team can make informed decisions about an appropriate treatment approach.
Rooted in Greenville
Dr. Watson was born and raised less than a mile from Palmetto Family Orthodontics’ Verdae office. He feels fortunate to care for families in the same Greenville community where he grew up.
Creating beautiful smiles for the families and friends who have helped shape his hometown is especially meaningful to him. He sees his work as one way to give back to the community that has given so much to him.

Outside the office, Dr. Watson loves getting involved in whatever hobbies his kids are enjoying. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, whether he’s snowboarding, surfing, or enjoying activities on the water.
